I have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times over the past 3 years, and each time l have l hope been very constructive with my reviews, I will again try to maintain the same level of courtesy however I will say from the outset this will be the last time I stay at the KP hotel. The hotel in my opinion is generally apathetic to its guest and their higher priorities are focused on the business coming from the local area, in the form of meetings and functions, combined with the odd wedding event, this is understandable to a degree, however if you are own and run a hotel you really need to get some basics covered off, which include cleanliness, fully operational air conditioning, and at least some degree of hospitality. Hotel rooms are fitted with stand alone air conditioning units, the unit in our room would struggle to keep the room cool however no surprise here as this has been the case on all my visit. Walls are dirty and shower area has mould everywhere again no surprise as this is standard for the hotel, in saying this the rooms are cleaned to a good standard each day, apart form used towels being replaced with towels that have strange brown marks on them. My biggest dislike is your room fridge turns off along with the room lights and air conditioner when you leave for the day, this means you come back to the room 7-8 hours later with no cold drinks and because the air conditioner is so d it takes 1-2 hours before the room. There are other points l could list however I have kept in mind the KP hotel, and in fact the local area is not a tourist location and the hotel is primarily there to cater to local needs. How yin saying that, they should at least try and get the basics right.
